Installation
AC sizing depends on room area, ceiling height, insulation, sun exposure, and occupancy. As a rough guide, you need about 100 BTU per square foot, but we always perform a detailed load calculation during our free home assessment to recommend the exact right size. An oversized or undersized unit wastes energy and reduces comfort.
A standard single split AC installation typically takes 3-5 hours. Multi-split systems serving several rooms may take 1-2 days. Central ducted systems for larger properties can take 3-5 days depending on ductwork requirements. We provide a detailed timeline during the consultation.
A boiler burns gas or oil to heat water, which is then circulated through radiators. A heat pump extracts warmth from outdoor air (or ground) and transfers it inside using refrigerant — it can also reverse the process to cool your home in summer. Heat pumps are more energy-efficient but have higher upfront costs. We can help you decide which option suits your property and budget.
Maintenance
We recommend servicing your air conditioning unit at least once a year, ideally in spring before the summer season. Regular maintenance includes filter cleaning, refrigerant level checks, and coil inspection. This helps maintain efficiency and may help avoid costly breakdowns.
Banging, whistling, or gurgling noises from your heating system usually indicate trapped air in radiators, low water pressure, a failing pump, or limescale buildup. Bleeding your radiators may resolve minor issues, but persistent noises should be checked by a qualified HVAC engineer to help avoid further damage.
Most HVAC systems last 10-15 years with proper maintenance. Consider replacement if your system needs frequent repairs, your energy bills are rising despite maintenance, it uses outdated refrigerant (R-22), or it can no longer maintain consistent temperatures. We offer free assessments to help you decide between repair and replacement.
Energy & Efficiency
Several steps can help reduce energy costs: upgrade to a high-SEER rated AC unit, install a smart thermostat, seal duct leaks, add insulation, and schedule regular maintenance. Our energy assessment can identify the biggest savings opportunities specific to your property.
SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It measures how efficiently an AC unit converts electricity into cooling over an entire season. Higher SEER ratings mean lower electricity consumption. Modern units typically range from 14-25 SEER. We recommend at least 18 SEER for the best balance of upfront cost and long-term savings in Istanbul's climate.
Billing & Contracts
Yes, our engineers are trained and equipped to install, repair, and maintain all major AC and heating brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, Bosch, Vaillant, and Baxi. We carry common spare parts in our service vehicles for faster repairs.
Yes, we offer annual maintenance plans that include two scheduled visits per year — a pre-summer AC check and a pre-winter heating inspection. Plans include filter replacements, refrigerant top-ups, electrical checks, and priority booking for emergency repairs. Contract customers also receive a 15% discount on all parts and labor.
